| "Mind the Gap" Philosophy Motivates American Educators |
| "Mind the gap!" That is the call one hears in the London Underground as passengers scurry from the station platform to step over the gap into the train that will take them to their destination. People who know where they want to go are constantly reminded to "mind the gap" as they take that next step on their journey. Similarly, managers need to "mind the gap" as they apprehensively traverse the uncharted uncertainty of growth, competition, and global economic change. International Business Administration Educators travel the globe to share the tools and insights of effective management practices. They realize that that these tools are intended to elevate managerial competencies as people ascend to higher levels of responsibility in an unfamiliar and unaccommodating business arena. |
| A Seattle and Sofia based enterprise, Business Educations for International Economic Development (BEIED), has emerged to address this gap. As Bulgaria and other economies take ever more bold steps to compete in the international arena, an ambiguous environment threatens the very viability of this journey. Business executives need the skills and insights to help them traverse the gap between where they are now and where they want to be. After decades of elevating competencies of the world's the brightest and most dedicated business minds, BEIED is coming to Sofia to "mind the gap" for our local business leaders. |
| On 19-20 May in Sofia BEIED, in conjunction with the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria, will present a two-day seminar entitled: "Leading the Transformation to Organizational Success - Nurturing a Dynamic Focus to meet Customer Needs". |
| BEIED is prepared to elevate managerial competencies through a series of subjects that "mind the gap" between the issues of today and the necessities of competitive success for tomorrow. The program includes 10 separate and inter-related sections that address concerns that were developed through a very recent survey of local Sofia-based executives. Each day is different. The first day accents internal operations with "Dynamic Organizational Leadership toward Global Success". The second day features a marketing emphasis with "Integrating Customer Sensitivities and Market Leadership". |
| The program features two Principals of BEIED, Dr, Dale Miller, and Mr. Earl Sedlik. These men have been teaching MBA-level course around the world for many years. With their colleagues, they are committed to "minding the gap" by elevating managerial competencies. As Sedlik, BEIED's Managing Principal says, "We're in the business of shepherding people as they journey upward in competence and confidence in their personal managerial development." |
| The world economy has, in recent years, become extremely competitive as nations and corporations vie to increase their profitability and overall standard of living. Trade alliances such as the European Union, Asia- Pacific Economic Cooperation, and the North America Free Trade Agreement have changed the completive landscape in the globalized economy. The World Trade Organization compels each nation to lower their barriers in preparation for full participation in this emerging setting. |
| These, and other factors, require more efficient and effective managers to manage organizations in both the public and private sectors. The "old" management theories and practices simply will no longer work in the "new" global business environment. |
| This series of Executive Seminars focuses on management theories and practices that have proven highly successful in highly successful organizations. The topics can be applied to any organization of any type or size. The ideas presented in the Seminars can be applied immediately. Those participants who are willing to adapt their management styles to this new business environment will benefit from the experience. |
| With heavy emphasis on employer-employee relationships, the program also addresses an external view toward fulfilling customer needs. Since the art of management (leadership) is to get people to want to do what they have to do. This involves a keen understanding of what motivates employees and what stifles them. Companies must see the world through the eyes of their customers. Customers buy the benefits that satisfy their needs. They are not motivated to buy products with irrelevant features - no matter how exciting the features may be. Successful enterprises manage their internal resources to provide benefits sought by external markets. |
| Today's manager-leaders are better educated, more experienced and more open to new ideas than ever before. Your presence at these seminars is evidence that you genuinely wish to improve your organization. BEIED's staff and presenters, renowned educators credentialed by prestigious American universities (Harvard and Stanford), are committed to assist you in every way possible. |
